Scania Watch : connected objects in the truck world
An innovation in the truck world ! With Sony Mobile, Scania just unveiled their first connected watch : the Scania Watch « Griffin black ». Merging fashion and high technology, the Swedish manufacturer is a step ahead on the connected object market for trucks. Designed to help truck drivers, the Scania Watch offers several specifics apps.
Features for truck drivers
The Scania Watch informs the driver about his fuel consumption, driving and rest times, driving style, average speed...It gets the truck's information and becomes a true work tool for the driver.
The connected watch can receive emails, texts and call notifications.
Scania's project manager, Jonas Svanholm, wants to develop the Scania Watch in the health department, by taking the driver's pulse.

Developed with Sony Mobile, the Scania Watch is based on the Smartwatch 3 by Sony.

The first version of the Scania Watch, called Griffin Black, is launched at 999 copies. Scania's logo is engraved on the bracelet, and the number is written at the back of the watch.
